I now know first hand
the difference between monsoon rain, tropical depression and tropical storm.
Typhoon Vamco is giving us heartburn. It has been raining in biblical
proportions since last night and hasn't let up. Streets are flooded and people
are scarce. I believe Hoi An will feel the full brunt of the storm this evening
as we have been advise to batten down hatches by 8pm. Our flight to Singapore
tomorrow may be a bust. Dun dun ... DUUUN (queue dramatic music)
